Millwrights Local 1102 members receive the best training the industry offers. Local apprenticeship programs that consist of four years of rigorous training with state of the art equipment and techniques. Training at the Carpenters International Training Center in Las Vegas, Nevada consisting of both steam and gas turbines.
Millwrights Local 1102 was chartered on January 8, 1916 with a membership around 2,000 members, local 1102 is the largest Millwrights local in the nation. Millwrights Local 1102 and the Millwrights Institute of Technology are part of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America and the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters. Millwrights are members of an elite construction industry working on the installation, maintenance, and demolition of industrial machinery including conveyor systems, robot cells, power generation. Our members are extremely well versed in wide array of techniques and tools which makes them perfect for on site supervision.

Graduated from the Millwrights Institute of Technology Apprenticeship Program 4/15/02.
Elected to Millwrights Local Union 1102’s Examining Board in July 2007 and served until June 2010.

Elected Recording Secretary in July 2007 and currently holds this position.
Hired as an instructor for the Millwright Apprenticeship Program on 1/27/97 and promoted to Director of Apprenticeship Program on July 18, 2009.
Gary Mabry
Graduated from the Millwrights Institute of Technology Apprenticeship Program 5/23/86.
Elected Warden May 5, 1998 and currently holds this position.
Joseph Tocco
Elected to Millwrights Local Union 1102’s Examining Board on May 6, 1998 and served until July 2004.
Elected Trusted June 2004 and served until July 2010.
Elected Conductor in June 2010 and currently holds this position
